Dr. Matt Hepworth is a Wellcome Trust Sir Henry Dale fellow at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. His lab investigates complex immune cell cross-talk in maintaining tissue health and homeostatic interactions with the commensal microbiota. In particular, the lab is focused on understanding how innate lymphoid cells (ILC) orchestrate immunity at mucosal barrier tissue sites and how they sense environmental cues in the tissue microenvironment in order to facilitate rapid responses.
