Dr Li Wu is a Professor of Tsinghua University School of Medicine and the Deputy Director of Institute for Immunology Tsinghua University. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Masters degree from Beijing Medical University (current Peking University Health Science Centre), and PhD from The University of Melbourne, Australia. She worked as a research fellow, then senior research fellow in the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute in Melbourne since 1996. She was recruited to Tsinghua University as a Professors of Immunology in 2010. Her major research interests include molecular regulation of immune cell differentiation, particularly the differentiation of dendritic cells, and the development and homeostasis of intestinal mucosal immune system. She has published over 140 research papers in peer-reviewed journals including Nature, Nat Immunol. Immunity, which attracted more than 13,000 citations.
