Immo Prinz is Professor for Mucosal Immunology at the Institute of Immunology of Hannover Medical School, Germany. He obtained his PhD in 2002 from the Free University of Berlin for his work at the Dept. of Immunology at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, then moved to France to join the group of Bernard Malissen, Centre d’Immunology de Marseille-Luminy, as a postdoctoral fellow. Since returning to Germany, Hannover Medical School, in 2007, Immo Prinz’ research interests include the development and function of gamma-delta T cells, the quest for the cognate ligands of the gamma-delta T cell receptor, the biology of IL-17 cytokines, as well as systems immunology approaches to monitor the adaptation of antigen receptor repertoires to environmental and pathogenic stimuli.
