Dr. Chenqi Xu received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry at Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (SIBCB), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then moved to Harvard Medical School to pursue postdoctoral training in immunology under the supervision of Dr. Kai Wucherpfennig. At the end of 2009, he was recruited back to SIBCB to establish his independent research program. He is now a professor in SIBCB and an Assistant Director of the institute to supervise the graduate student and postdoc office. He also serves as a deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecule Biology and the CAS Center for Protein Science. His lab uses cutting-edge biochemical and biophysical approaches to study immunoreceptor signaling and lipid metabolism in T cells. He received many prestigious awards such as Science and Technology Award of Chinese Youth, Promega Award for Biochemistry, and Young Scientist Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
