I serve as Director of the Michigan Center of Excellence for Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy, Co-Director of the Cancer Hematopoiesis and Immunology Program and direct the Immunologic Monitoring Core at the University of Michigan School of Medicine and Rogel Cancer Center. I also direct the Surgical Oncology Fellow Training (T32) program, through which we train clinical fellows to become physician scientists, with a focus on cancer immunology and immunotherapy. At the national level, I am the AACR Cancer Immunology Chairperson and have served as the Cancer Immunology Abstract Programming Chair for AAI in the last 4 years. I have delivered more than 250 invited lectures at different institutions and conferences, published more than 150 articles and book chapters including 20 articles in Nature, Science, and Cell journal series. My laboratory is one of the most cited research teams in the field of immunology. Our work has been highlighted by many scientific news agencies.
